Celebrate Room to Grow

Over 300 guests gathered to Celebrate Room to Grow and the extraordinary efforts of parents helping their babies thrive despite the challenges of poverty. The event raised over $435,000. Guests bid on over 100 silent auction lots ranging from sports tickets to fashion items to art tours.

Julie Burns, Founder and CEO of Room to Grow, introduced Dr. Edward Zigler and presented him with the Founder’s Award. Deborah Roberts, ABC News Correspondent, introduced Client Inspiration Award recipient Hassania Alkhaddar, a recent Room to Grow program graduate. Lydia Fenet of Christie's conducted the exciting live auction, which included lots such as a trip to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, a guided tour around Manhattan with filmmaker Ken Burns, and a special dinner at Danny Meyer's newest restaurant.

At the close of the program guests enjoyed delicious cupcakes, brownies and cookies, generously donated by Crumbs.
