Child Tax Credit (June 2021)
On June 30, in collaboration with Congressman Ritchie Torres (NY-15) and LIFT-NYC, Room to Grow hosted a special information session on the 2021 Enhanced Child Tax Credit. Learn more about this important update to the tax credit and how your family can receive compensation.
Child Led Play (June 2021)
The Room to Grow program team returned with its Monthly Family Support Workshop on Child Led Play strategies. Team members Marissa Gernett and Arlene Almonte led families in an engaging and interactive discussion that included tips and topics such as what is play, how to follow your toddler’s lead, engaging your child's interests, and using imagination - among others.

Let’s Talk Mealtime (March 2021)
In this month’s Monthly Family Support Workshop, program team members Shelby Distenfeld and Arlene Almonte guided Room to Grow families in an informative session on Food and Nutrition. Participants discussed expectations versus the reality of feeding your child, as well as when and how to introduce solids, how to bond with your child during mealtime, and much more.
