Christie Ayala joined Room to Grow in March 2023 as a Site Operations Associate. A Bronx native, she was born to parents who migrated from Liberia and Puerto Rico. Being raised in the Catholic Church is what inspired Christie to want to help those in need within her community. Christie’s previous work experience in retail helped shape her mindset that everyone contributes to the success of a person. The Room to Grow mission is what drew her to continue down that path. Christie’s story is still being written.
