Julia Haley joined the Room to Grow New York Board in 2018 after completing a strategic project for the NY region. Over the last ten years, Julia’s work has focused on strategic planning and improving service delivery in the public sector. Most recently, she helped a city pediatrics department overhaul their screening program in order to better meet the needs of their highest-risk families. Julia finds public health to be the most challenging and most crucial ecosystem, given the complexity of needs that arise alongside the numerous needs that can be met as systems continue to improve. She obtained a Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University with a focus on Social Services Management. Until recently, she worked at Gouverneur Hospital in New York City, taking a career pause to focus on family needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
