Laura Reyes is from the Dominican Republic and was raised by a strong single mother. She started her career and educational journey in the IT field, determined to stand out in a male-dominated field. Laura acquired her associate's degree in computer networking and had the opportunity to work in the area for six years. This opportunity was possible because of her hard work and dedication and, more importantly, the help of a nonprofit that provided guidance and support. This experience motivated her to get closer to her community and give back, leading to her career and education in this industry. Laura now holds a communication associate's degree. She has been working with minority groups for the past four years in the fitness and health industry; Laura is now ready to begin her journey in the nonprofit sector. In her free time, Laura likes to spend quality time with her family and friends, write, read, and exercise. She also, just for fun, likes to guess people's zodiac signs since she’s very deep into astrology.
