Michelle joined Room to Grow in December 2021 as Manager of Development. She brings more than 35 years of experience working and volunteering for a variety of impactful nonprofit organizations. Her career took shape early on as a Peace Corps volunteer and grew in program planning and strategic development for numerous New York City community-based nonprofits. From there, she moved to fundraising, and eventually to running development departments. Michelle holds a Political Science degree from Boston University. Her very first nonprofit role was as the treasurer for her local 4-H chapter, as well as the top cookie salesperson for her Girl Scouts group. A champion of giving back from an early age, she is committed to helping drive positive and equitable change for a better world.
