Prior to joining Room to Grow, Abasi led fundraising efforts in education, research, and community development. Before moving into Fundraising/Development, Abasi worked as an Assistant Program Director, Case Manager, and Project Coordinator at organizations focused on community development, education, and homelessness. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hunter College and a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University. In his spare time, Abasi collects rare Jazz records and travels to new countries.
