Marina joined Room to Grow in December 2021 as Site Operations Manager, leading the New York regional in-kind donations inventory work and implementing new strategies to help build out the brand-new warehouse. Born in Brazil, she was a volunteer at Lar da Criança Feliz, taking care of orphaned children who lived at the shelter. In the US, she volunteered at Encore 49 as a dance teacher. Marina graduated with a degree in journalism and has lived in New York for 14 years. She started her career in the area of events and now comes to Room to Grow to combine her organizational skills with her passion for people and her transformative work mentality.
