Emily joined Room to Grow’s Leadership Council in 2026. A passionate social scientist, she has spent her career advancing the health of families and children in nonprofit and academic settings. Emily first connected with Room to Grow as a Program Officer at a local foundation, where she launched and grew a significant maternal and child health portfolio in Boston. She is a firm believer in Room to Grow’s comprehensive model and its focus on the earliest stages of life — from the prenatal period through early childhood — as the surest path to strong starts and lasting outcomes for children.

Emily holds a ScD and MSc from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a BA from Johns Hopkins University. She is currently working as an independent consultant and advisor to nonprofits and in philanthropy. A New England native, Emily loves to travel, cook, ski, and play tennis with her husband and two children.
